I remember the Moday night game against LSU and the
"merry go round" pass EA fluttered out of our own endzone. Cutt came back, righted the QB ship and we were ok. Is there a chance that JC can experience the same? He looked "OK" his soph. year, ( i think it was his soph. year) at home against LSU. The AU game this year makes me think that he just did not know where to throw the ball. Is there a chance for redemtion?

Whats with the bromance with a 5th yr senior who has never shown anything that supports greatness or promise?

JC should carry the clipboard and get his degree and move on.

no man love here. Just wondering. If everything was so "up in the air" last year, could there be any hope for production out of him this year. He may not be as good as rivals rated him out of high school, but I do think the circumstances with the "new" offense contributed to his performance on the field. I am not looking to bash the guy...just wondering vol fans thoughts

There is a difference in not knowing where to throw the ball and not knowing your progressions under pressure.

As much as I would love to see him come out and light it up this year I don't think he has what it take between the ears to run any kind of offense.

There is an important distinction here.

Ainge actually showed significant promise before he turned in a horrific sophomore campaign. There is little evidence, other than his rivals ranking (which very little once a player is a 5th year senior) to indicate that he has what it takes to lead the team.

That being said, I sincerely hope that someone digs this up in the fall and I look really, really foolish.

Since you've been here for over a year, if you have read anything at all concerning Crompton, then you know that most people think he is clueless and should not see the field again.

Depends on whether this staff is able to do anything with the OL, IMO. If the OL is okay, then there are enough pieces at RB and WR that it should be possible to devise an offense in which Crompton doesn't embarrass himself. But if the OL is crummy, then whoever plays QB is going to look awful.

Yes I have been here a year, its not in my day to day routine. I would also think that those that felt that way about JC believe that no O lineman should be back..they did not block worth a flip......

Sorry for the multiple posts on my own thread. Here is the situation: I have given up TV for Lent. Trying to find a reason not to clean out the garage or "re-balance" my 401k...not much left to "re-allocate":)
