Is there a possibility that UCLA might be good, and UT is not that bad?

This weekend will tell, but UCLA played great defense, and did just enough on offense to win. Kind of reminds me of Bama in the 90's. This was not the same team that we played last year. They were ready and pumped. That being said, our QB does suck, but more will be found out about this team against UF. UF looked god awful in the first quarter against Troy. Call me crazy, but the UCLA game might be good for UT because it put our guys in tight game situations already, and UF ran over a couple of patsies. UT may not win. but a 20-17 game might not seem out of the question.

You're really reaching here. UCLA is not much worse than us, but without our QB being a nutjob we would've rolled them. One thing this weekend will show is that we are a long way from Florida, especially with captain clutch as our QB.

no chance they will be average at best and probably not get there for awhile seeing as we knocked out their game managing qb for a few weeks. now they have to go to the juco guy Craft who gave us 4 picks in 1 half last year (their crompton)

Last time I checked, a football game consisted of 4 quarters. You might want to consider this: How good is Florida if they can take a nap for one quarter and then score 42 points the next two?

UT ran over one patsy and got shut down by a second tier PAC Ten team at home.

UCLA was mediocre and so were we. They just took advantage of all the turnovers and that's what lost the game for us. UF will have an easy day if we have that many turnovers against them or any SEC team for that matter.

I have 2 words - Ole Miss

Turnovers... the great equalizer. It doesn't matter how superior one team is over another. You get enough turnovers and you can overcome it. That's why if Crompton can't make any better decisions with the football then its going to be a very long year.

Its going to be hard to judge UCLA, since their QB had his jaw wired shut and won't play for a few weeks. I think UCLA is getting better, but going through similar changes as the Vols. There are some similarities with both UCLA and the Vols. Both coaches are not afraid to call out their rivals. Remember that Slick Rick and the athletic department put that huge full page ad in the paper declaring that the USC dynasty is over.

All I have to say is that a few years back we played Bama in a rivalry game like this one, and they were coming off a loss to Memphis. We were ranked #3 and looking to jump to #1 with a win. They beat us amongst many crying Vol fans. This is college football, and anything can happen. Especially with rivalries.

Look you gotta have balls in this business. These coaches, both Kiffin and Neuheisel, are looking at the big picture. You can't let the bully on the playground know that he can kick your ass. If he does kick your ass then he would know that he was in a war. These PR tricks are good. Sometimes they work, and sometimes they blow up in your face like C4 connected to a gas storage tank. UF may get so worked up about the Kiffin comment that they lose focus and make mistakes. We will see. I don't know. Our qb sucks, that is all that is for sure.

True. In last year's Ole Miss game, UF statistically dominated the game but coughed it up and gave Ole Miss a short field and they cashed in.

I have two words as well. National Champions. :salute:

If you can remember back in '99, UT came into the Swamp with a swagger and odds on favorite after winning the NC, and left with a wimper. Stranger things have happened.

UCLA is better than last year, but no better than 7-5 IMO.

We were 1 average QB away from 9-4 this year... but alas, we have no average QBs.
