completely absurd. The guy is doing a helluva job recruiting kids to freaking Columbus Ohio and has been in as many NC games this decade as anyone. OBTW, he won one of those.
So...in a word, NO.
Columbus isn't exactly Pullman, WA or Moscow, ID. It's one of the largest cities in the country and also had no pro sports competition until eight years ago.
Second, pretty much every kid growing up in Ohio wants to go to Ohio State, even if their family is affiliated with another school in the state (of which there are plenty).
Third, Ohio is top-five every year in high school talent, which is really saying something because there's no spring ball in high school. All Tressel has to do is walk into a kid's home anywhere in the state and say "Would you like to come to Ohio State?" and he'll have a top-five recruiting class every single year.
With the media, yes I feel that it's over and the overhype of osu has started its descent.
With the fans however, as long as he keeps beating michigan and keeps winning the pac-10/getting them to a rose bowl (those things are kinda one in the same) they'll keep loving him
Hasn't Michigan beaten Tosu every time they hired a new coach??
And how about that pesky SEC reject over at Illinois???
As a matter of fact there are several programs in that league showing signs of life this year.
The circling sharks could be smelling blood in the water.
I'm just sayin'.............
yeah but OSU has beaten michigan like 4 years in a row now and 6 outa last 7 and regardless of illinois and the others (who i agree are finally starting to show signs of life) OSU keeps ending up big 10 champs for the last 3 years...so even if one of these other teams steps up and beats them annually, well it'd be kinda like if we somehow managed to beat UF every year but they still won the sec championship, the UF fans would still be pretty happy w/ meyer
This could be the start of them going downhill though, i can feel for that. But it's going to be a while longer before most fans start calling for tressels head
