Just tried tuning into the Swain Event and some other show is on. Is the radio station pushing him out?

They also only went 2 hours yesterday. But I saw Seth's tweet so I'm assuming it's no big deal. Said they'd be back tomorrow.

I miss the days of the Ainge show. 1180 seems really unorganized and you can pick up on 990 in the background of Swain's show. Nothing is worse than hearing those 3 in the background of Swain.

The best way to go (if you have access to a smartphone or are close to a PC) is the Swain Event app. Crystal clear.

They really need to get it together and decide if this is what they want to do or not. They don't do a show if its snowing, or if Seth's belly hurts, or if Swain wants to go out of town, blah, blah, blah. I don't see other sports shows just not airing for such reasons....

I seem to remember somebody on RTI mention they were having production issues due to yesterday's storms.

Well I know what you're saying but it is the offseason and there wasn't a finals game yesterday.

Colin cowherd, who I listen to daily, takes more than his fair share of days off. Even more so during slow sports periods, and he is very successful.

I think if this continues to happen during football and basketball season then it's a different story; after all his main selling point as a radio host is UT Football coverage.

I understand that, its just annoying when you tune in and there's no show and no idea why. Does Colin let people know when he's taking a day off or is it a surprise like the Swain event?

Tbh I tune in and they announce at the start of the show, unless it's a planned vacation or something of that nature.

I agree, fully. Basilio always has fill ins for him when he is out. It is very unprofessional to just not show up.

I know some GM vehicles have trouble with the station in West Knox but my Focus doesn't have any issues. We haven't had any tranmitter issues since putting in a new processor last month.

I have a jeep wrangler and a Honda accord. Even my wife's Nissan has troubles picking it up. I live in Farragut and am usually in west Knoxville so maybe that's why if the transmitter is in east.

I have the app but my phone is used for work and rings a lot in the morning so using it for that is somewhat useless lol.

On the topic- I saw Ainge/RTI boys tweet recently about a new show or segment with Ainge daily...no details but there was mention of July 1

I think RTI is better than swain just because they get off topic and harp on dumb stuff too much for me on swain but Ainge is my favorite just because his knowledge of scheme and play and more so his access to the current events in the program

HELL YES! Ainge truly has a natural gift when it comes to radio. If he can keep the middle school humor in check, he could have a bright future in sports radio. His game breakdowns are second to none.

Does RTI have a download able app?

I used to like the show and I still listen from time to time. But I've noticed Swain has this "I played football so I'm right" attitude all of a sudden.

Also saw his personal twitter account and he was boasting about how amazing of a businessman he is and how his side business got him a Benz. I'm glad he's doing well but he just seems a bit different these days.

Idk maybe it's just me but I do get tired of hearing him produce a bad argument only to end it by saying "well from a player's perspective". And he does add that unique view but he can't generalize every time and speak on behalf of all players just to prove his point.

Also his reading cracks me up. lol

Maybe it has been mentioned, but is Inky still doing a segment on Swain's show?

No, he stopped about a month ago. Not sure why.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing but figured I just missed the reason he quit. Hell, he had one segment he did in the early hours of the morning just to make deadline. Inky's words are usually great and perfect for teenagers.

If anybody has heard anything, then please share.
