Is Student Seating Assigned?

He may be the guy that one time claimed to be texting from a sporting event with his phone, but it didn't have the "posted via volnation mobile" tag so he was pretty much caught in a lie.

But if you're on an iphone and you're not on the mobile page, then it wouldn't post that.

There was much more hilarity to the story than that.

Back to the topic. If you want to sit in your assigned seats, you'd better get there before kickoff. If you get there too late, expect to find a drunk, rowdy human in your seat.

I don't remember it with much detail. I do remember it being hilarious at the time, though.

Care to recount it with more clarity for us? I think I would get a laugh out of it again as well.

Students will not be able to buy season tickets this year. Each game must be purchased individually. The more sporting events you go to and scan your VolCard the better choice of seats you will have.

That's not what they told us at orientation. When I went they said student season tix would cost $90

That would make more sense. That's how it was done last year. If they absolutely have to make students pay for tickets, last year's system was probably the best way to do it, IMO.

Of course, I'm probably a little biased because I'll be a senior this year, and seniors/grad students get the first opportunity to buy tickets, assuming they keep the same format from last year.

I'm trying to remember the details. He supposedly went to a UT-VU game at Memorial and at one point claimed to be there, but his account of the game made no sense chronologically and he even claimed UT won when in fact we lost. I think he later tried to blame his confusion on something going haywire with his cell phone or something. Ultimately, there wasn't any logical way to explain things unless he was lying. I'm sure someone else recalls it more clearly. It's been a couple of years now.

Why do you answer questions when you don't know what the hell you are talking about?
