Is Savage the only realistic chance left at DT?

I've seen Gillespie has us in final two, but is he worth taking just to take one?

Also, i've read we have no chance, but what about Simi Kuli? Rivals still has us on his list.
Could he be the Fulmer special on NSD?

Why dont we go after Gillespie? Does anybody know if we offered him or are thinking about it?

Also, Marcel Dareus is a DT who has us on his list according to rivals. Anybody have any info?

We need one of those milk commericals "Got d-tackle". Unfortunetly for us we'd have to say no.

If you look at the Rivals list of players we are still after, we have a decent shot at landing some good players. No we may not get a top 15 class, but as long as we plug in some decent guys who can help us thats really the only thing that matters at this point.

We need DT, true. Some say well we only have 2 DT targets left. Look at all the DE left on the board, if we can land 2 true DT, some of those guys listed at DE are monsters already and just need weight, at least 4 of the are 6'5'' or better.

We have Steven Fowlkes already in the bag, er I hope. To play DE.

Keith Wells is another 6'5'' guy but only listed at 211, hes a DE all the way.
Willie Bohannon 6'3'' 230 (I want this dude, he looks like he has a good DT frame.)
Quinton Coples 6'7'' 235 (Biggest Target we have I think)
Andre Wadley 6'2'' 245 Another DE - future at DT.
Tony Gillespie 6'1'' 295 Jesse Mahelona?
Jomarcus Savage 6'2'' 260 DT
Lavunce Askew 6'3'' 280 and strong as hell. (This guy would be huge if we can steal him.)

And anyone from Maryville whats the deal on TJ Walker? He has the size and speed to be a great DE. Why is he not getting any love from the Vols?

Of that bunch, the best I can tell we are in pretty good shape with. Bohannon and Askew are soft commits elsewhere but could be turned.

In my opinion if we can pull Abrams Ward, and maybe AJ Alexander. Add any 4 of the above along with Mclain, we should have a decent class. They dont have the stars but they all look good on film to me and would fill some holes.

Normally I am the pesimist but just studying that list the last while has made my glass look a little bit closer to half full.

UT is known for not giving just a recruiting pitch. He will get a legit shot at WR. He may end up at DE. But it wont be because we dont give him a fair shot at WR.

looking at the depth and how many DTackles we use in a season seems like some of the DT's would want to come here

Rivals has Fowlkes as a soft verbal now, anybody know whats up with that? He apparently took a visit to Arkansas this weekend.

Fowlkes is all Vol. He made the visit with a teammate. His teammate committed. He said he had a nice time but some stuff happened that he didn't like and that he is definitely sticking with UT.

Do you think we had the biggest failure of the SEC if not the Southeast as a whole, with a NEED and not fufilling at all?

How many DT's did we end up missing out on?

Man, if we get Savage, Askew, Coples, and Wadely.:drool: (and E. Davis) man I'm a dreamer but can you imagine ? We would be in the top 25 easy.
