Is Malone or Jennings Our Number 1 Receiver

I think Malone is our big play home run guy and Jennings is our possession receiver.

Its a good combination to have.

Dare I say like Meachem and Swain..

Yeah Preston Williams has faded. He is such a freak athlete though and has the perfect WR frame. I don't get it. I want him to become a stud so badly. But since the first series against App State, he has been virtually non-existent.

After this season, it isn't going to matter. Next year will be more pass oriented. We are going to see who is who and what is what next season. We have two stud qb's waiting in the wings. One of them is going to perform.

Soon to be Byrd...

I think Byrd would be an excellent 3

The guy you just throw the ball to in space and let him create. Not saying he cant run the correct routes or make a huge catch when we need it. Hes shifty and speedy something Tennessee needs to utilize more often a lot like Elliot Berry.

Beginning of season I would have said Smith or Malone would be our best with guys like P. Will, Jennings and Byrd in that next category.

Right now I think 1. Malone, 2. Jennings, 3. Byrd

Smith & Williams have been inconsistent, but still have great potential.

are you saying you hope Tennessee slings it around the yard 40 times a game?

I don't know but it is nice to have options and it looks like Dobbs is willing to sling it some now.

I hear you and I agree. I just love how this freshman was the only receiver to not drop a pass on this stage. I was kind of referring to next year.

Doesn't matter, and it's not a "problem". As for Williams, I think he thought/thinks being fast is enough. His hands are suspect, and I don't think he works at his game the way he needs to.

I have to say though, Malone is living up to his billing this year. It was awesome on his TD catch to go up 31-21. Florida had no chance of catching him, he was running like a scalded dog.
