Saying that Kiffin is not really an option for our next HC. Can this guy be right? It blows my mind that on several boards LK seems to be the leading candidate and then this guy steps out and says "not a chance".

Hyams like the spread. That's why his favorites are Leach and Kelly. We don't want the spread here, because we have seen that experiment with Michigan this year. I hope Hammy understands that.

Seriously? NOt only are other schools sold on Kiffin, but guys like Lowe and Hubbs are somewhat sold on Kiffin. I'll trust their judgment before Hyams. Dude is a quack

the rumors of coach O snooping around is just too coincidental. His only connection to the coaches being mentioned is LK. Hard for me to believe he was not really an option when potential assistants are being talked about. He may not get the job but he is legit IMO

yes, because judging RRod's scheme after one year is fair.

Have you not watched Texas,Texas Tech,Oklahoma run this offense. With the right personnel this offense is explosive. Michigan runs the spread option.

So if Kiffin is the guy. Then Hyams has stooped to new lows. I would say it would be worth banning Hyams info from volnation.

Texas does not run ANY version of the spread offense and neither does Oklahoma. Tech runs the pass heavy version and yes I know Michigan runs the spread option, but Michigan will not be successful with the spread option because the defenses are 100X better than the one's in the Big East.

Just sit back and watch. Michigan is a couple of speed guys away from being back in the mix.

RRod can easily adapt his system to almost mirror UF's. Ask Ohio State how they feel about that.

yep, though i'm sure those in maize and blue are having a hard time believing it.

that conf. is ripe for the picking. he gets a pat white, steve slaton and noel divine up there, he'll run roughshot thru the fat, slow big 10.

or at the very least it will be back to Mich and OSU duking it out each year.

You think that we are going to be OK with another year like this?? No, it would be meltdown in the streets of Knoxville. At least Michigan beat Florida last year.

I hope the fans give whomever comes in a chance. As long as we show improvement, play consistently and COMPETITIVELY, then there should not be a meltdown. If the team looks the same and our QB's continue to pass to the cheerleaders, then yeah, meltdown is okay.

They might be a 8-9 win team with it, but the defenses of the Big 10 are much better than the Big East. I don't see them winning the conference with it.

So your saying that RRod will become balanced like Urban?? I don't believe that.

Last year, Pat White still threw the ball 216 times for over 1700 yards. White is a better runner than Tebow and with a good passing qb, Rrod would definitely be more willing to pass the ball.

Just the fact that they ran the ball 628 times last year and 590 times the year before tells me what type of spread RRod prefers.
