Is it really possible that we loose oku and Stokes?

Why would David Oku go to Auburn if they run the spread. They would only run that direct snap about once every possesion if that. In the Kiffin offense he would get the ball a lot more.

Stokes is almost a lock to be gone. Oku will probably be a Vol but we probably won't know for sure until after his visit to the barn.

Stokes will not sign here, and Oku may go to Auburn since he will have more of a shot at starting than he would here. That's MY opinion anyways.

I think we lose both. I would love to have both but it doesn't look good with Stokes at all right now. And Oku is not "feeling the love" with us recruiting all of these other RB's.

I think Stokes is the bigger loss.

They have a few other plays than the direct snap.

I hope we don't lose either of them, but as it was said about Thigpen, we have to trust that the coaches know what they are doing.

I think we loose Oku and Stokes. As a matter of fact I don't think that, even as good as these guys are at recruiting, we have any positive surprises on signing day.

I think we lose Stokes and Oku too. Stokes was gone when CLK told Boyd to go elsewhere. Oku is being pulled in the wrong direction by former VOL RB coaches.

I still don't understand why they want to leave all of a sudden.

If they can't take the heat its time to get out of the kitchen. I say if their scared of competition for a starting role let them go. In the words of Coach Singletary " I would rather play with 10 people and just get penalized all the way until we got to do something else, rather than play with 11 when I know that right now that person is not sold out to be a part of this team,"

The general feeling right now is poor on both of them. Oku has been 100% Vol this entire time and now he's completely 180'd for the last two weeks. I think he ends up at Auburn.

As for Stokes, he's sure spent a lot of time looking around. If he was seriously considering TN still, he would've come back for an unofficial, IMO.

You wonder why a kid (oku) who has been committed for months would change his mind in the last two weeks---but recruiting is crazy. Stokes made an official visit before Fulmer was sacked--and that is killing us with him. There ought to be a provision allowing kids to revisit a school a second time if there is a change in the coaching staff.

Ben Tate is coming back, right? He's their leading rusher. Also Mario Fannin is back.
