That all the coaches under Fulmer are sick of a stagnant program and abandoning ole' Fulmer. Seriously, everyone seems to be packing up their bags and heading out now.

No. 2 coaches left, and the two more that may leave were brought in with Cut.

Coaching is a profession where you try to move up to that Head Coaching position. RARELY, if ever, is a coach going to be content with an assistant job if they can get paid more in a better job, one that can get them up to the HC at a major program.

Cut always wanted to be a HC again, and at Duke he can pretty much run the program however he wants and give his kids a free 40k a year education.

Trooper was looking to move up, and frankly, he didn't have the experience to go much higher here. He has a chance at more money and responsibility at OK State.

Well they really picked some winning programs. Duke is the worst BCS school. Oklahoma State has always been irrelevant in the Big 12.

Is it possible that both coaches who left, did so taking pay raises and promotions?

No, that couldn't be possible. If it was then many people wouldn't be able to act like this is the end of the world.

It's actually smart to go to a struggling or irrelevant program if you want to make a name for yourself. Any improvement at all is seen as a big success, and if you do anything like play in a conf. champ. game, you are the best ever in that program. Anybody remember Zook? Took over a program at or near the top...canned within a few years. Went to a historically bad program, winning about the same number of games and he's an Illinois hero.
