This is the most likely scenario. If Pruitt ends 2021 0/12 against Florida/Georgia/Alabama, and we are still getting blown out/embarrassing losses to less-talented teams, then Fulmer will "retire" at the end of 2021, and the next AD is going to give Pruitt 2022 as his last ditch effort to salvage his HC career at UT.

They either suck at recruiting QBs or developing QBs...
Or both.

I think it has been lack of talent at the position and that falls to recruiting from the previous staff and in Pruitt’s first class. (I can give him a pass on that class since I can’t recall if we were in on anybody of note at that time.) I think Bailey is the first QB recruit in quite awhile to have the talent to potentially be a high level SEC QB. That’s where the development question comes in. I am praying they bring in someone besides Weinke to do it because I don’t think he can handle the job.
