Somebody mentioned at a game party today. KNS released or Volquest board or some source of Tennessee Athletics. Does this story have legs??? I hope not for several reasons.

I've heard the rumor...but who knows? If you can't find THE guy, you may as well get a guy that knows our system/program/players.

it's here somewhere. Trooper said he'd reconsider if he was offered the job. No word that Fulmer is budging from his previous statement that no one on the staff is being considered for the job.

I think naming Adkins and Trooper co-OC's are down on his list somewhere.......probably right above retiring.

I do not believe that. Hope it is sarcism. Retiring should be above the Co OC choice.

I would like to keep Trooper's recruiting talent, but even a co-OC position would be a mistake.

I gotta feeling that Fulmer wants to go back to go to a style simular to what he used with Heath Shuler.

Have you watched the 92 Georgia game recently, when Fulmer was OC/interim HC?

We spread it out and Heath ran the ball a ton. Some plays looked Tebowesque.

fulmer just stated this week that he's not considering anyone on the current staff for the OC position.

thats why gus malzahn i believe would be a perfect fit look at what he did at arkansas last year and tulsa this year tulsa ranked #1 in total offense

We have gotten over the loss of TT. There are other OCs that UT will hire that Will recruit. We recruitted before TT Got here and will continue to Recruit well in the future. I agree on the Co OC do not see it happening, plus the fact that CPF is going to Micro Mgt the new OC the first year. Anybody watching the game today that is a candidate should think they could come in and make a difference in play calling and offensive schemes.

yet another reason he is an idiot

Yep, he's so dumb he's won over 75% of his games, is paid over 2mil a year, and is the Dean of SEC coaches. Such an idiot. He obviously doesn't understand coaching or hiring coaches. :ermm:

Sorry, but there's not a damn person on our offensive staff that is qualified for the OC job at UT.

Isn't the idea of a good OC one where he takes a team's strong suits and makes it work? Why would arky throw all over when their two best players are RBs.

If you look around at college football who's consistant. USC is consistantly there every year. Ohio state is there every year. Oklahoma right there most of the time. I wonder why phil isn't trying to pull some people from those staffs there is obviously some coaching talent there. Talent is good to have but these teams are there to much for there not to be some really good coaches on their staffs.

Lockley maybe out of the picture. I am not sure. The only thing I think I know for sure is that Spence and Brown withdrew their names from the list which is a good thing IMO.

I am just trying to verify what I was told at a party. TT is being reconsidered??? I hope not look above. I would like to know the status of the others that were on the list. SF OC is a choice of mine if we do not go spread...
