VFL Joshua Dobbs is making an impact in pre-season with the Browns. I am really hoping that he gets a turn on the big stage. He has been patiently paying dues for a while now. Hell, he can run as well or better than most of the league's starting QB's.

I hope so. You won’t find a better kid and the game is more suited to his style these days. If you’re a running QB in the NFL you better have some good wheels and he does. I’d quickly become a Browns fan if he gets the nod.

I mean, you know what you are going to get with Brissett, and it's not great. I wish they would give JD a legit opportunity to show what he can do under the lights. Worst case scenario: you lose and are still the Cleveland Browns.

I think he will get his chance with the Browns. I think as soon as Jacoby struggles and don’t improve fast, I think Dobbs will get his chance. Watson is suspended for 11 games. Don’t be surprised when Watson comes back and Dobbs is the backup and Jacoby is released at end of the year and Dobbs actually spends significant time with the Browns. I think the HC really likes Dobbs and talked highly of him last week.

If Dobbs does well, then when Watson returns his stock will have risen substantially making Josh an attractive prospect for the 3'rd quarter of the season, when the annual parade of wounded starting QB's gets going.

Watson signed a fully guaranteed five-year $230 million deal with Cleveland. He’s the starting the quarterback when he comes back, regardless of how well Brissett or Dobbs are playing.
