This is not your run of the mill graduate by the seat of your pants so you can skate into college football and dream for the big money of the nfl recruits. This kid comes from one of the toughest academic high schools in the south east. You may have heard of one of its former grads by the name of Ted Turner. See TBS and TNT and Turner South. If the talent is there with this kid you can be sure the kid is smart enough to start for anyone. The only question with Coleman is talent smarts will not be a problem.

Yeah, you are right. Ainge was responsible for the Vandy game winner falling short and he was also responsible for blocking the fg in overtime against KY.
I give Ainge all the praise. He pulled out wins against Vandy (after he finally showed up in the 4th quarter) and Ky (one of his better games of the season, I'll give him some credit for that).

After he threw an interception during the Vols possession. You have to know the situation a be more careful with the ball in that type of situation (OT).

This talk is nonsense; Pryor will be the starter next year hands down…yeah right I wish.:) I really don’t care who plays as long as they take care of the ball and make good decisions. I do believe as of now Crompton is the leader and will probably get the nod, but Coleman has a lot of potential. Either way GO VOLS, bring us home an SEC title!!

This kinda reminds me of the spring when all of you experts had Kenny O'neal and Brent Vinson tabbed as starting receivers and Coker was our best back. Plus there was even talk in the spring that Ainge wasn't looking good and Crompton or Stephens would replace him. Coleman has played 0 downs of college football and until I see him do so (which I don't think we will for two years aside from mop-up duty) then I wouldn't label him anything other than an unproven RS Freshman QB next year.

Thats completely legitimate to think at this point. But, remember, Sam Bradford was nothing more than an unproven RS Freshman QB when this season started.

When all is said and done, I hope we start the best QB on the roster, but something I think we might have been missing as of the ainge years is heart, give me drive and emotion with a great mix of skill in there too and I'll take it.
