Is a taco a sammich?

literally never heard of it before. looking it up it seems today it is served with only one piece of bread, but it started out with two as a true sandwich. did find some pictures with two pieces still being used.

how do people typically eat it? Now days it seems like it requires a fork & knife and thus would be out of the sandwich consideration. but there are some that do look like they can be handheld & folded like a taco. but I don't know that for sure.
Thats the way Rustbucket rolls

A sandwich can have one piece of bread.

They are called open faced sandwiches for a reason.

Wiki considers both wheat and corn tortillas to be flatbread. Ergo, tacos are sammiches. Case closed. Stfu FailguyView attachment 642566View attachment 642567
sure buddy then why do they even make "tortas" at hispanic restaurants? Why don't you go into a Mexican restaurant and tell them you want a sandwich and see what they bring you DA!

I guarantee it won't be a freaking taco.
