Seldom,if ever, should the football players win the open basketball league. There are LOTS of players on campus who can use any one of the football players on the bball court.
I'm sure you did. I tended to hang out at the Longbranch, Last Lap, the Roman Room, and the annex. I did occasionally make it into Ivy's and the Library.
until last year, charlie pepper's, which was across the street from buffalo wild wings, had an "animal hour", i'm guessing charlie pepper's animal hour is a descendent of the hawkeyes animal hour you speak off. unfortunately cp's went out of business.
if you did animal hour right, then the rest of the night was a blast, if you could remember it.
Speaking of I seen Ramar Smith at Opry Mills Sat. in Finish Line.
Seemed cool other than he hit on my G/F, and kept telling saying she was a hott mom. Thx Ramar
My sophomore year, Albert Haynesworth was on my intramural basketball team. He was really pushy about getting the ball as much as possible, but he was pretty good for intramurals.
I'm really surprised that the coaches let the football players play intramurals. I work in university recreation and most coaches don't let their scholarship athletes participate in intramural sports due to the risk of injury. How pissed would people be if G. Jones tore his knee up playing intrmurals and was out for the year? Answer: REALLY PISSED! The baseball team at the school I currently work at puts a flag football team together every year behind the coaches back and they're really good, but I'm waiting for an opposing team to call the baseball coach on them so they can get a cheap win.
