Crompton doesn't look like he gives a rat's ass. And he's arrogant about it. How the hell you pull that off, I'll never know.

well just look at fulmer. How many times has he really looked like he cared that we lost. I am just waiting for crompton to start saying we are going to work like heck to get better.

How hard is it to say, "That was my fault and I'll take all the blame." I just want some accountability out of the guy. But I don't really care so much about "his dream" of playing for the Vols. The guy has his whole life ahead of him and, honestly, we'll forget about his performance on the field in a few years. I'm more upset with the fact that our coaches aren't putting a gameplan in for our QB that will give us a chance to win. UT is a big-time football program whose record of producing NFL talent is second to none. We'll get a good head coach (hopefully this offseason) and be back to the top in a few years.

That would be a lie. Besides, he's admitted he hasn't played well.

From Spencer Hall @ SportingNews.com:

"M is for Miscommunication: Jonathan Crompton is throwing to multiple receivers at Tennessee: his invisible friend Honcho the Ghost Receiver, his friends in the second row of Jordan-Hare, a gopher with particularly good hands he sees popping out of the turf wherever he’s playing on a given Saturday. Against a disjointed Auburn offense that only tallied 226 yards on the day, the Tennessee offense went one worse: nine first downs, 191 yards, and a continued cluelessness and arrhythmia to every aspect of their game. The Clawfense has innovated Tennessee football as promised as now they flub handoffs in the endzone in addition to hanging John Chavis’ defense out to dry."

Not sure if you meant to or not, but you capitalized every letter in your post exept the I's.....

I know it happens some times! I have to use CAPS while @ work and sometimes forget to take them off. Someone usually busts my chops about it and I will remember for a while, but eventually the old-timers kicks in...:eek:k:

Why is Fulmer not opening up the competition to BJ Coleman? Don't you think at this point in the season that we need to see what ol mother hubbard has in the cubbard between Stephens, Coleman, and Crapton?

probably dont want to split first string snaps three ways in practice...

I couldn't help but think of the Sherm-a-nator from American Pie when they were interviewing Stephens.

Regardless, he is going to do alot better than Crompton.

I think Crompton was as confused about what to say as he was on the pass patterns at Auburn. I would say Stephens seemed focused and hungry. I look forward to seeing him in action Saturday. I think he will win the spot.

did anyone really have faith in jc before the season, watching him play when ainge was hurt over the past couple of years, i knew he sucked, bad, and besides playing bad there is something about him i just don't like, and it seems i'm not the only one picking up his bad vibe, its very clear now that he should never start again, so i say split the 1st team snaps between nick and bj, ainge was avarage at best and so were we the years he was here, i really hope one of these guys is the real deal because 2 or 3 more years of being just ok, this program will loose all credibility, its already happining
