Some people call them alarmists, I call them smart. Its funny to think that people think they can talk with people that want to kill us. Its crazy to think about some of that stuff happening, but hey didn't we think we were impervious to an attack like 9-11 happening as well.

Probably SOME truth there but generally I see this as over-reactive and filled with proganda. I think this site appeals to emotions and predjudice rather than rational though.

The real answer to our situation with the muzzies is isolationism. Simply put, get out of the mid-east period. We piss them off with our presence there and honestly, since we don't own mid-east oil and since we don't have an invitation to begin with (other than Kuwait and Israel) why don't we simply just leave? In the mean-time over the past 6 or so administrations, we have seemingly allowed many anti-American types inside our country.

Its not that simple to leave at this point, we are now in too deep and there's really no turning back at this point..

i know a lot of innocent people would not make it, but to protect us, i say lets throw some nukes at them before they throw them at us

Well that's about par for the course.

The problem is OWB is that no one wants to think that things like this could happen because its too painful. Remember my friend, 9-11 did happen and if people think that nukes aren't in this country and are just waiting to be armed and used is being naive. We can turn a blind eye all we want to but when it happens there will be ALOT of people that will be laughed at because they said that terrorism is overrated. The statement is not directed at you bro, it is directed at the politicians that are blind. People better realize that the threat is real even though they can't see it.

And God forbid that we go one day in this country without having to hear about terrorism, the constant threat of it and gloom and doom predictions.

I don't think anyone is turning a blind eye to anything, I just think that some are better at coping with life this day and time than others.

You'd think the ones that cope with it so well would not get so upset over it?

I guess the news should spend more time on how Paris is doing in the county lock up?

I can't cope with it. I leave the house everyday with my flak jacket on, 4 or 5 pistols on my person along with my survival knife, a couple of SAW M249's in the trunk (for suppressing fire) and a glove box full of HE, Smoke and frag grenades.

well armed, but I'm still gonna bet on the guy with the nuke/chems/bio-weapon.

You are vastly underprepared.

Yeah I understand your point about coping with it, but go talk with the over 3,000 families that had someone die for NO REASON in the WTC and see how they are dealing with it.

While I feel sorry for them, people die every day. You're more likely to die in a car accident or die of cancer than you are in a terrorist attack. The threat has always been there, it didn't just come up after 9/11.

Be aware of the threat, but don't let the powers that be use it as a scare tactic and don't let them use it as an excuse to trample your constitutional rights as an American citizen.

The U.S. can fight this war without all of the extra agendas, and that goes for both sides.

1. I don't know a single person that has let 9/11 really have any type of real impact on how they live their day to day life.
2. I don't feel my freedoms have been trampled on because government has scared me into letting them be.
3. Yes we all die, I am not really concerned about that. But I don't worry about car accidents or cancer changing the nature of this country. Islamo crazyism however, ....

Agreed. The only thing however is the fact that American's are VERY complacent people and everyday life is put in front of protecting what we love in this country. We haven't had our rights trampled upon like our ancestors did so we have no clue what REAL Patriotism is. They defended a way of life and party lines weren't even in the picture like they are now. The one thing we can ALL agree on is terrorism is REAL and we have to protect ourselves from it. The first thing we need to do is get rid of the 12-20 million illegal immigrants first and then secure our borders. I mean how can we secure Iraq when we can't even secure our own borders.
