You heard it here first, been saying VOLS by 21 all week; so, I was off a couple; still a big win. Looks like we're going to be competitive in the Swamp. Vols win by 14 in the Swamp. Bray & co will have to do it in the air, unfortunately. However, our young D is starting to gel. Offense letting our D rest. Better things to come and hard schedule after Buffalo. Cincy no slouch, but VOLS had too much firepower + D. Congrats VOLS!!!!

Also, been saying Bray is the next Peyton Manning and it's only going to get better. Once we get a good running game, he won't have to pass so much but fortunately he has a strong arm and is very accurate. Recruiting will pick up. We're still not going to get much respect until we beat Florida next week and I do believe we'll do that. Tougher competition but Gators will get tired chasing down all the receivers.

- Tennessee is now 5-1 against Cincinnati

Tennessee Legends:
Reggie and Raleigh McKenzie

Tennessee Captains:

Bray Bombs Away
- Bray had a streak of nine straight completions come to an end in the first quarter (last of Montana, first 8 vs. Cincinnati)
- Bray's 167 yards in the first quarter marked his most in a single quarter, besting his previous mark of 165 in the first quarter against Memphis on Nov. 6, 2010.
- Bray's 282 passing yards in the first half tie him with Bobby Scott for the fourth-most in one half in Tennessee history.
- Bray's 405 total yards marked the first time a Vol quarterback eclipsed the 400-yard mark since Peyton Manning threw for 523 yards against Kentucky (11/22/97).
- Bray and Manning are the only two quarterbacks in Tennessee history to throw for 400 yards in a single game. Manning did it three times.
- Bray's completion percentage of 82.9 (34 of 41) is the highest in Tennessee history with 30 or more completions, breaking Peyton Manning's mark of 77.5 set against Georgia in 1997 when he was 31 of 40.
- In seven career starts, Tyler Bray is averaging 320.6 passing yards per game
- Today marks Bray's fifth 300-yard game in seven career starts

Great game for the offense today. I think we are only going to get better from this point and could become a pretty elite offense if we keep it up. We'll see a real defense next week so I guess that game will show us what kind of a team we really have.

The offense showed out it's passing skills, and ran the ball some. Defense went from scary to inspiring. They stopped 4th and inches, with penetration into Cinci's backfield. Didn't they do that twice, before a freaking goal line stand that went for a field goal? Wow. Seems like a long time since we've seen Tennessee play so well. Now it's on to the gators.

with the new scanners, I think they now give number of fans in attendance and not tickets sold, I bet we will see less attendance for each game because of this new system.

I was surprised by the attendance. It looked a lot better on tv.

It looked nearly full at the game, but there were some visible gaps in sections like EE, GG, MM, and NN. And as always, there were some empty seats in the north endzone upper deck. I was surprised the attendance # wasn't higher when it was announced at the game. Might be the new electronic ticket scanning giving us a more accurate #.

Springbok, I'm stickying this one at the top for awhile. Way too much good info to get buried on the board.

Thanks GAVol. Great idea. I probably would have overlooked it inthe countless threads below.

Tyler Bray is the SEC Player of the Week on offense!!! Keep it up Tyler. You don't have to throw for 400 against Floriduh. 300 will work just fine for us.

One of the best posts I can recall on VN... and I've read a lot them...

Great stuff, SpringBok! :hi:

Shows Palardy... is earning his keeps and starting to live up to all the excitement we had when he committed to be a Vol.

Really puts Bray's game in its proper historical perspective.

The Vols looked great, but some of those stats are even better.

I thought it was odd that the last time a player had 10 rec prior to this game was in 2001.

I'm glad Palardy has a strong leg again.

He has already tripled his touchbacks this year, with atleast 11 games to go. I'm impressed big time. Now if he can just get more accurate on FG's, and not skirt the right sideline with some of his kickoffs. I'm scared to death one is going to roll out at the 1 yard line.
