UT is 156-119

In those 119 losses:

- Nearly 50% of the losses were to teams that had 10-14 wins that season. In 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2021 we played between 3 to 6 teams each season that won 10 games or more.

- 61% of the losses were to teams that won 9 games or more

- 55% of the losses were on road or neutral site

- 59% of losses were to teams we were underdogs to

- In 46% of all the losses, UT had a legit chance to win in 4th or OT

Of those 46% where we had a chance, i bet half that was self-inflicted idiocy
13 men on the field at LSU
field goal from the 1 inch line against Oklahoma ( Butch's Chart)
Matty Mauck and him scrambling on third and Chavis the entire game after Rohan Davies got hurt
Hail mary at Florida
Jabar Gaffney "catch"
Troy fleming fumbling through the endzone ( cant remember the exact game and if we lost)
Pig Howard giving his all for a touchback to Georgia
Busted coverage against BYU ( not sure how many games they won that year)
Ole Miss last year where Corral rushed for 200 yards and somehow we also got a scoop and score taken off the board
JG's rogue qb sneak at Bama
3rd and 16 at florida on a curl route that went to the house and lost us the game
Arian Foster fumbling at the end of first half against Georgia for a scoop and score
David Green to the tight end in Neyland (hobnail boot)

I digress now as I am starting to get angry typing all of these mishaps.

You forgot vs North Carolina in the Music City Bowl. They had a QB under center and a kicker and holder behind him setting up. Not to mention the rest of the almost 20 players running on and off the field.

Hahaha I forgot about that one! Wasn’t that Lane’s only bowl appearance if I remember correctly?

Of course he didn’t.

That is the one game where I thoroughly agree Tennessee had no business losing. And it wasn’t due to the Gaffney play
And that’s why that game made the list. We had countless opportunities in that single game alone. Jeeze! We will see you all In Knoxville. What are your thoughts on this years matchup?

So this set of percentages seems to say we have been a 50% win lose team in what you could call big game. Sounds about right.
