Interesting stat in the bowl win

Indiana had a pretty bad defense. Our inability to punch it in in the Red Zone is the single-biggest defining mark of a JG-led offense. We have always been terrible in the red zone with him as QB. Our OL did not block well. Our D played lights out for a half allowing both the fewest yards (by a long shot) and the fewest points to what had been a pretty good offense.

The 2nd Half of the Indiana game basically emcompasses our entire season. We started off bad, got down in a pretty big hole and then somehow resuscitated ourselves against poor opposition to end up just okay.

If we had gotten Michigan or Penn State, like this fool-hardy forum wanted... they would have slaughtered us.
Poor opposition? They were bowling so no they weren’t poor opposition. Some people love being negative.
