Interesting regarding Debose

This is a pretty big blow for them. They were hoping he would fill in the Percy role.

That's right they were. He is all we have been hearing about since signing day. They don't have Harvin, Murphy, and now Harvin's replacement. Still talented, but those are big shoes.

I would like to point out, that although there was a lot of excitement surrounding his recruitment, that he wasn't a starter at this time. Brandon James is running with the first team right now, and David Nelson is the other guy playing the slot in different packages.

They had installed a few plays for Debose, but not a ton.

I hope this kid doesn't have the same weird injury problems that plagued Percy throughout his entire UF career.

Anyone remember Percy's first season at UF? He had a high ankle sprain and didn't do much for the middle portion of the season.

I gotta say, its going to be really interesting to see how the Florida offense looks this season. I know that it'll be pretty good, but I just wonder how they'll go about attacking people this year with a few new offensive coaches and no Percy Harvin.

People are definitely going to see a lot of different players in multiple formations. Demps in the slot and at RB. Brandon James all over the field. Aaron Hernandez lining up as a WR, TE, and HB...

Brandon James as a starting WR? Does he have any experience at the position? FWIW I do think he would make much more impact as a slot than he ever did at RB.

Brandon James has been practicing at the slot position since he was a sophomore. (Hes a senior now, I bet Vols fans are happy to hear its his last year)

The reason he didn't see the field much is because there was this other guy that was holding down the position. Maybe you've heard of him? Guy by the name of harvin? :)

Meyer has nothing but good things to say about BJ in the position and he is clearly the leader at the position right now as fall practice closes.

Hes been practicing all fall on it. I guess it wasn't too bad. Everyone thought it was just sore.

That's one tough SOB. That had to hurt terribly when it first happened, at least. Although that stuff can calm down after a couple of weaks to a dull roaring train of pain as opposed to the Mach 3 jet fighter of agony that it starts out as.

Like I said, tough dude. You know he'll be back.

Just interesting because I don't ever recall seeing him line up in the slot in a game, he was always in the backfield. Just checked his stats and he caught 11 balls for 95 yds last year not bad. Back to Debose, tearing a hamstring can be one of the most painful injuries. It is such a strong muscle that sometimes it tears away parts of bone with it.

I'm interested to see whether Loeffler's (?) monkeying with tebows throwing motion is a help or hindrance... and how much tebow lines up under center.

I bet he'll line up under center a lot against CSU and FIU. Other than that, I doubt we'll see it that much unless Moody really comes on strong.

There is no question BJ is fast, but isn't he like 5'7 or something? I wonder how much his size will hold him back from playing receiver?

Karma is a *****.

I hate the Gators as much as anybody, but comments like this are uncalled for. We've lost 3 of our best receivers and may be starting a former walk-on at center due to injuries, so it's not like we have much room to talk right now...

on espn.com it says that the touted freshman might need surgery and will be out for a while. this could help right?

Don't know how integral he would have been as a true freshman, especially in the early season. He is supposed to be the next Percy Harvin, though.

I want every one of them healthy and on the field when we go down there.
To be the best, you have to beat the best.
