Interesting Read from SI

That's interesting. So only 17 of the top 58 QBs per Rivals actually finished any one season as a top 40 QB? Yikes.

Doesn't speak well towards Rivals QB ratings, for sure.

I have a friend thats on the football staff and he is rather quiet about details. (stating this due to never posting his details and wont post much from him.) He said that Crompton is awesome in practice but when it comes to game time he looses his edge and turns to mush. I believe it will come down to BJ and Nick. I cant say eitherway. Nick did well this year. He had no offense and his recievers and running back were terrible. If Nick had a all star line and recieving core he could do well.

Aside from the obvious bad play from crompton, he had a symphony of disasters around him. Fumbles terrible line play. Does anyone think he will improve with the new offensive scheme kiffin is putting in place?

When is the Program gonna realize that psychological ineptness is a weak spot as much as QB footwork? If I'm cLK I'm hooking up with the psych professors at UTK and asking questions. As inept as Crompton looked at times one thing I can't take away from him, he had guts. He was in some seriously brutal collisions and he seemeingly has no fear. Build on that, footwork, mechanics, self-esteem outlook, We have the athletes in uniform the trick is convincing them their as good as any of em, and better than most of em....then ''just do it'' as one sports icon said.

I agree. There's a ton of mental that goes with the position.

There is no need for Crompton to be named the starter next season. He is a 5th yr senior and we would be back to breaking in a new starter in 2010. It will be between BJ and Nick and with our schedule this year the home games will be huge for building confidence in a young QB to prepare them for 2010.

You don't need a psych pro. All you need is a good QB coach . Look at the difference Cut made with Ainge .
I think you are right about starting Coleman because of three more years . I do think Crompton would have been a much better player under Cut .

I don't think Cut cared much for Crompton....but I do see what you're saying.
