Interesting post from Texas board...

That's fine, but neither of those teams has been a legitimate NC contender this decade. Nebraska may well be on the way back up, but the days of year in and year out dominance are probably over. Colorado is having their problems and are probably years away from being a true competitor in their division again.

this decade? nebraska played for the 2001 national championship.

Not really. I just tend not to be one of these people who mindlessly bows at the altar of "tradition" and fears change. The idea of trading trips to Starkeville for journeys to West Lafayette doen't bother me. The idea of trading trips to Trashville for trips to Madison or Minneapolis is downright appealing.

Besides, we could leave our band at home as the Golden Gopher Band already knows how to play "Rocky Top". (Refer: Music City Bowl vs. Bama few years ago).:)

where they were handed their arses by miami (and rightfully so, nebraska in no way deserved to play that game).

i did reference that in another post however, i had forgotten about it until after i posted that.

dang right they had their a**es handed to them. 2001 canes were the 1st or 2nd best cf team ever, didn't really matter who the canes were playing that night.
