my biggest worry is georgia. they have a 1st year coach and 1st year QB. we've had horrid track record against those.

knell, that's right.

is it they are right 25% of the time on the SEC winner, or the division winner? seems like if you are getting the first one right you are getting one of the second ones right as well.

That's just for selecting the overall conference winner.

Alabama is the one facing the death nail. Not us.

Well any given year it is a 1 in 7 chance. 1 in 3 if you have a respectable idea of judging talent.

The other factors that play into it are injuries, coaching, play calling and of course luck ...we needed a bit in 1998 (Syracuse & Arkansas).

Also you have to consider the homer factor where Georgia coaches will favor Georgia teams, same for South Carolina, etc.

I don't see the fuss here. I thought that stat was for overall winners.

They picked Alabama.

We're not Alabama.

That's good for us.

What the Knell? I say we kick the Knell out of them--all of them. You know how those knellers can be.

I'd be more afraid of the Vern Lundquist curse personally, be glad he is retiring at the end of the year, but now would really be better.
