The Not-Great Eight
ESPN research monster Brett Edgerton passes along the following reason for Ohio State fans to root for Vanderbilt this week and/or Kentucky next week when they play Tennessee: With one more loss, the Volunteers will join Michigan at the eight-loss plateau for the first time ever.

And that would leave Ohio State as the only current FBS school to have never lost eight games in a season. The Volunteers will have to win back-to-back games for the first time since last November -- when they beat Vandy and Kentucky -- to avoid that fate.

Ohio State are the Buffalo Bills of the BCS. I enjoy watching them lose. So it's mutual.
That is a stupid quote. Ohio state won the national championship in 2003. They beat Miami in overtime. When did the Buffalo Bills win it all "superbowl"?

It fits for their last two performances against the SEC. Lighten up.

I was split 50/50 on the last two BCS championship games. I did enjoy watching OSU get throttled by Florida and LSU. but the other half would have rather watched a decent game.
And by decent i mean a team other than Ohio State.

A phantom pass interferance call won OSU the title. I read that article earlier today and felt dumber for having done so.

They only won that because I think it was Lucas took out Willis McGahee's knee with a blatantly dirty knee shot. That is the game they earned the nickname " The luck eyes".

They earned that throughout the season. They won 7 games by 7 or less. That team probably should have been more like 10-4.

Tennessee was handed the chance at a championship by Arkansas. Winning a championship is a lot about luck when you are a great/really good team. Ohio State won one...it's theirs.

Before the season started we were 1 of only 3 schools to never have lost 8 games in a season? One, Michigan has already fell, and if we lose to Vandy or Kentucky that will make........ THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY the only school to never lose 8 games :pukeb: here is the source, its on espn Pat Forde thing.
