guys it's true..University press release. Harrell has a torn biceps muscle and will require surgery done for the year. Inky had nerve damage and already had surgery but will have to have more, could be end of his career hopefully not

D-Mo, Gaines and company are going to have to grow up quick ... just like Inky did last year.

If anyone on here knows Inky or Harrell or their family, tell them our thoughts and prayers are with them.

This is the exact thing we were worried about going into the Air Force game. Funny thing is, neither injury had anything to do with their cut-blocking scheme.

Yeah. I figured it would be some of our front go down from those chopblocks. I never saw this coming. I guess you never can though

that's good to hear. is there any chance of a medical redshirt for justin harrell and inky?

no harrell wont stay and risk not playin on sunday and inky cant medically redshirt because his injury isnt something that is pre-existing. He can redshirt if he has a rs year left but if not then he cant because in order to medical redshirt it has to be a pre-existing injury that takes you out of that season

Yanno what, these injuries might just be a blessing in disguise!! Championship teams overcome adversity, it's not 2 people that makeup a team..........it's 45 or 50. If the injuries to these guys don't motivate someone to step up and sacrifice like Inky and Harrell did then we were never good in the first place!! Never can I remember a CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM that didn't overcome some kind of adversity to win it all........ We just need to "reload" at these positions, and play to our ability!! That is the kind of stuff that Champions are made of...

Ash

And before any of you start, this is not meant to be disrespectful to Inky and Harrell

I about 95% sure he has not redshirted. If he is able to play football again, I think he can redshirt.

Agreed. Ive said this before. Inky stepped up when Jason Allen went down. We have other guys on the team. Best of Wishes to both Justin and Inky but we not done yet.

wow, inky was kind of expected, but harrell is out of the blue. Both will be missed big time, but more importantly I hope inky is going to be able to make a recovery. That was an absolutely horrible and frightening moment in an otherwise enjoyable night.

Demetrice Morley will emerge as a playmaker at CB. J.T. Mapu, in good shape, is All-SEC caliber. We have capable replacements for both of these players, but it just hurts our depth at those positions. Inky and Harrell will be missed, but I don't think our defense will miss a beat.

Best of luck to Justin Harrell getting ready for the NFL draft, and good luck to Inky getting ready to play football for Tennessee again someday.
