I think the whole world deserves to know if OBrien is going to be OK. Lots of genuine concern and prayers for him. Don't have to tell anyone if he'll play next week, but ought to let folks know if he's going to be fine. JMHO
This is what I was originally hoping for. Someone to have a list and to update if they heard anything
Why do yall care so much about the injured players? You will see them play when you see them play? Their injuries are private and Butch is done talking about them......how about I go ask your doctors about your health and information....see what I mean? Just forget about it:hi:
No he doesn't have to disclose a damn thing to anyone of those hacks
Maybe because I care about others, and their health. And obviously you dont because you will "see them play, when they play". Also butch is not a doctor, so dunno where that comparison came in.
This is a state university football team, with a massive fan base. Of course people want to know about injuries--and to pretend that they shouldn't want to know, or wouldn't want to know, is stupid. There is no reason not to disclose commonplace injuries--but HIPPA allows coaches to hide behind it now and be control freaks--and that's fine so long as they know there will be rumors and speculation and questions, and that in a lot of cases word will get out anyway.
and more--but i'll try to be polite. Jones has become a pretty unpleasant control freak. What is he PISSED because of the Hurd situation? He's the one responsible for the Hurd situation! This is what happens why you needlessly try to be secretive. But I don't expect southern goobers to get it. He also got pissed because the media asked questions about UT's losing streak to florida--perfectly legitimate questions that the media are supposed to ask, and write about. And then he got self-righteous after the Vols won, as if writing about the losing streak was questioning the team's resolve. In fact, that's pretty much what he said, which was utterly stupid. He's on his high horse and is becoming a bit of a tyrant.
