Tennessee coach Butch Jones did not give an injury update on Danny O'Brien, who left the game on a stretcher. Jones said he wouldn't comment on any injuries.

We are a real beat up team

Yep. Too beat up. I would like to hope we have a chance against Bama at home but with all of these injuries how in the world does anybody expect us to pull it off?

I don't see how we pulled off almost what we did tonight against a solid A&M team with so many players hurt/injured. It's really a shame too.

We stay healthy & we're still undefeated I believe waiting for Bama to come into Knoxville undefeated too for a real showdown.

Nothing we can do about it though except for our Vols to bring their all next Saturday. Maybe even with all the injured players we can get it done with another miracle.

Is CBJ really allowed to do this though? I thought coaches had to keep the media & other coaches updated on their players injuries? I know it's that way in the NFL. The coaches have to disclose the injury too on the injury report. I don't know if it has to be done in college nowadays or not.

I know he's tired of injuries too but if this is the rule he could be setting himself up for a hefty fine over not disclosing injuries to the media & coaches on the injury report. Again, I don't know if college works like the pros though. Thanks!

HIPPA......look it up.....when it comes to injuries to college players--the PLAYER has the last word on the nature and extent of information released to ANYONE concerning the status of his private health information.

Thus--CBJ is not obligated by anything to give anyone any information at all.....about the health status of his players....

If I'm Butch I close all practices for the rest of the season to all media. Period. Answer no questions about injuries or anything else for that matter. After the crap this week with Jalen and the injuries last year screw them all. As much as everyone would like to be we are not privy to anything.

Nope he is not required to disclose anything specific about any injuries to the players.

I think the whole world deserves to know if OBrien is going to be OK. Lots of genuine concern and prayers for him. Don't have to tell anyone if he'll play next week, but ought to let folks know if he's going to be fine. JMHO

It's the gambling junkies. They are more interested in who is hurt than who is starting. Some of them act like freaking vultures.
