Can anybody think of a worse year for injuries? 2002 was really bad, but so far this year at one time or another we've had injuries to 2 QBs, at least 3,4 WRs, Riggs, Houston, Wade, the entire o-line, Kevin Simon, etc. Heck I heard tonight that Dustin Colquitt had a pulled groin - the Punter is not even safe!

Our guys are getting beat up. We've played 8 straight weeks of football. The bye week will help.

The injuries are sure mounting up on us this year, but it's even worse when ya have your 2 best qb's go out back to back.Glad we have the week off.

Those injuries to Tinsley and Ainge were just freak. First Ainge falls the wrong way then Tinsley breaks his leg in a non-contact injury.

I still don't get the Tinsley injury.

Yeah, that was very odd... I wondered why he went down so awkard in that play, and then they said it was a fracture!?! Only thing I could figure was a stress fracture cuz I didn't see how he coulda fractured anything when he got hit.

The worst part is that looking at the replay, if he had gone to the middle of the field instead of cutting to the outside, he's probably still be running.

Just on a quess that it's relevant since we don't know much of anything yet, but a truly weird phenomena about modern sports is that the skeleton, tendons, etc. haven't improved for "a while", but muscles and demands of big-time sports have been growing ever-faster for a century.

IOW, sometimes these days modern atheletes break things just because of the combination of being so abnormally strong muscalarily and of having the training and skill to try things/ moves their skeleton/ tendons/ etc. can't take. It's getting more common all the time.

And wouldn't that be a painful irony- a Vol hurting himself tonight by exceeding himself............
