Informative and disturbing article about Dooley recruiting.

Just read this. Very telling. No wonder our recruiting had steadily gotten worse. Its fine if a school doesnt have any prospects but you cant just ignore them. Seems like he was even ignoring those that had highly rated prospects that we were in on.

Vonn Bell is a five star on scout. He is also a big fan of the Vols and being recruited by many major football schools in the country.. It's ridiculous.

It's hard to tell how many areas of Tennessee Football Dooley and his clowns screwed up. This won't be the last issue we hear about.

The top Jr in the state (RB Jalen Hurd Beech HS) might be the #1 running back in the Nation next year, and when he came to UT last spring for Jr Camp, Dooley did not speak to him. Jay Graham has been recruiting him, and Saban, Muschamps, and Franklin all have him on speed dial... The top 2 HS players in TN this year are DBs ( Huge Need) and neither had TN in their top 5... just sayin.. Right now one is committed to USC and the other is down to Bama Vandy and a couple of others... Whoever Tennessee hires, They and their ENTIRE staff, (not just coaches) have to wake up recruiting and make it the priority in everything they do.. Tennessee has been getting outworked in recruiting.

As I have stated before, we were ROBBEiD of $12 million by Dooley. This article just reinforces the ineptness of Dooley as a coach. It's no wonder our program is where it is at today, the bottom of the SEC. Hart better hit a home run with this hire or it could bankrupt this athletics program.

Five star Safety Vonn Bell was a huge fan of the Vols. Now, he is leaning towards Alabama, according to this article because of lack of interest from the Vols. SMH.

fitzgerald admitted he began to sour on dooley when he felt two former rhea county players were mistreated during their brief ut careers. Josh davis was an all-state punter who walked on and competed for the job under kiffin. But shortly after kiffin left, just before the start of spring practice, dooley informed davis he would not be needed even to compete for the job, feeling that prep all-americans matt darr and michael palardy would provide enough depth at punter.

Davis transferred to middle tennessee state, and while darr and palardy have struggled the last two seasons, davis has become an all-sun belt conference punter and last week finished with a 48-yard average.

wtf?!?!?!

I don't care if it is the SunBelt. Punting is the same in every conference.

I think out if all the things Dooley failed to do at TN, this is the most disturbing and damaging... Perception is everything- if we were a top 10 team and were busy w bigger fish, that is one thing, but this is just embarrassing and don't think other teams have or will use this damaging info to their advantage

Amazing...Dooley not even bothering to recruit his own backyard..you would figure that would have been an issue with Kiffin...hopefully the next HC takes note and does a better job.

i do know that dooley called dobyns-bennett to ask about malik foreman and devan swafford and got their names mixed up and db's coach graham clark told him he didn't need to recruit them if they couldn't get their names right and hung up. foreman is going to be a wr at vanderbilt of all places.

The fact that Saban and others were at those places watching games and congratulating the players tells me all I need to know about wether or not our coaches should have been there. It doesn't matter if they were full of 1 stars. It's the reationship that is important. And having other schools talk about the arrogance of our coach and their dislike towards him was bad.

This is mind blowing to me. I know it's a lot of stuff that's been alleged before but to hear directly from coaches is telling.
