If Indiana wins the National Championship, do they surpass 2019 LSU as the greatest team in College Football History?
That LSU team was absolutely loaded. Indiana has good talent, but they are a well coached team. Talent for Talent, that LSU team is far superior. I think this Indiana team was the better coached team of the 2.

yeah, don’t think there’s any question that Cignetti is a much better coach than Coach O. But I agree that LSU was the better team. Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase alone put that team above Indiana. Id also put 2001 Miami and the mid 90s Nebraska teams over Indiana as well.

What Cignetti’s run shows is that coaching will always be king in Cfb. Teams like Texas A&M get better classes and better players yet fall short due to the guy on the sideline, while Indiana punches well above its weight because their coach knows what he’s doing and could turn a toaster into an All-American.

LSU was freaking loaded. They won a championship despite Coach O.
And some people think Lane kiffin will fail there, I doubt it.

Heck even the grass eater won a championship at LSU

Great coach at maybe the worst FBS program in history.
Indiana has won the Big 10 Championship 3 times since WW2.
Uk hasn't won the SEC outright since Bear Bryant coached them in 1950.
Vandy has never won the conference.

Northwestern holds the record for most losses by a program, but they have won 8 Big 10 Championships; most between 1900-1931, then 1996 and 2000. They have 8 conference crowns and some long stretches of futility.

Discussing the worst program of all-time is an interesting conversation.
