it looks like his number in high school was 84, but I'm sure he played some TE in high school. I don't think he'll be seeing any time at TE as a Vol so, the number 84 still confuses me a bit.

ah...it's kindda like when Peerless wore 37 as a WR. As long he knocks Tim Tebow out, I don't care what number he is

In response to Chris' number being 84...

Chris wore #84 at CBHS as a LB/TE. When he committed to UT, he requested #32 to honor his CBHS friend and teammate, Chris Mosby, who died in a car accident almost two years. He was informed that #32 had been retired several years ago. He then requested #44 only to find out that his roommate, Chris Donald, requested that number to also honor a fallen friend and teammate. As a result, Chris decided to request #84. A few weeks ago, Chris Donald opted not to wear #44 and instead wear #40. Chris Walker had already been assigned #84 and as you can see all of the other "would-be" LBs numbers have been assigned. Just FYI, there has NEVER been mention of Chris playng TE at UT. He was recruited as a LB and if the coaches decide that he plays DE, I know for a fact that he is FINE with that as well.

well thanks, that clears that up! 84 as a DE makes sense, and i could see him playing DE, but I def. like him as a LB.

Peyton wears 18 now, Coleman wears 18 now. I would say that is more related than not since he has been compared to Peyton and people have been saying he will be the next Peyton. You just want to argue with some, that is all!:peace2:
