Crompton played as badly today as any QB I have seen wear orange. Steve Alatorre, Randy Sanders, AJ Suggs, and Joey Matthews moved up the list.

i'd settle for casey clausen.

Settle??? Casey was a hell of a QB, winning in The Swamp twice, and in the OB to end Miami's home win streak. Saying you'd "settle" for Casey isn't very smart, considering the MENSA member we have currently running the show.

Casey was a tough SOB and a dern good QB at UT. I guarantee you one thing, he beats AU, drills UCLA and has us in the game with a shot at winning in the 4 quarter against FL.

Dear god, i'd take rick clausen right now. And after watching crompton one hop passes, throw the ball twenty yards out of bounds, and miss the open tight end on the two point conversion, I want to drive to the Meadowlands, find Erik Ainge and give him a big hug and tell him how much I miss him and that I'm sorry. The CBS commentators were openly making fun of how terrible our Qb sucks. Thats just sad

Yep never will I forget him hitting Jason Whitten in the OT game against Arkansas with a separated shoulder

So the best thing anyone can say about Crompton is that he makes us finally appreciate every other Vol QB not named Peyton Manning. Awesome legacy, now lets see what the other guys can do.

For the next 45 years every QB will be able to say .. "I'm may not be Manning, but I am no Crompton either"

I just looked it up on espn, besides the failed two point conversion, the QB-who-must-not-be-named didn't complete a single pass in the fourth quarter. But, hey, at least he didn't fumble another one away. Progress!!

I don't think Crompton could make it as junior high quarterback. If he was the best in North Carolina then I would hate to see the worst play.

Is there any other coach in the SEC that would keep putting this guy in after all the stupid mistakes he's made? It just plain doesn't make sense. Even if Stephens was terrible in practice, wouldn't you at least put him in for a series or two to make a point when Crompton commits yet another turnover. I'm sure the team would respond to the change. By now they have to hate Crompton.
