the highlights they showed for Carr made me a lot happier

Yeah, Carr is gonna ball out. I'm not the biggest Hyams fan but he was bringing it with his interviews today. He interviewed Carr's HS coach. He asked him how Carr was as a pass rusher and what made him so good at rushing. Coach said "his arms, he can stand straight up and scratch his ankles." I chuckled. But looking at him, Carr is your prototype NFL DE. And while Vonn Bell talks about growing up a die hard UT fan, Carr isn't doing as much talking. His actions and dedication to the program are showing his true love for UT. John Henderson, Al Wilson, Reggie White...yeah these dudes were dominant players. But they truly loved Tennessee, you could see it on and off the field. They cherished the opportunity to wear the orange. I swear I think that's what we've got hear. You guys can laugh if you want.

Proud to have Dobbs. He will represent the Vols well.
I am not normally invested heavily into incoming freshmen, but the tape they showed of Dobbs, and his interview were pretty impressive. He looked very quick and light on his feet while dropping back, and got rid of the ball quickly with some zip on it. He seemed very polite, thoughtful, and mature for a high school senior.

He may or may not see the field next year, but with the other 4 guys, I feel pretty good about the QB position for the next few years. Of course someone may transfer, who knows?

Dobbs doesn't seem like the type that tells fibbs, he said Butch told him he'll have an opportunity to compete for the starting job. With his smarts, athleticism and running this offense in HS...ya never know.

Laugh?? You hit the nail on the head, and I think Butch will bring this team together as a family. That is how it starts. Not laughing a bit, more like firing me up. No special treatment, no divided locker room, etc, etc. This kinda of stuff went on while Fulmer was coach, and I am convinced is the reason such talented teams he had couldn't get over the hump. Excluding 98 of course...
