This one is interesting: we jumped up to #8 in the Sagarin ratings this week after a devastating loss. Sagarin thinks Georgia is, by far, the best team in all of college football right now.

Sagarin Ratings, Oct 11

Sagarin has a good track record, but can be off with limited data (as it has now). Covid also probably makes it less reliable than normal. Regardless, here's how they rate the SEC.

1. Georgia
4. Alabama
6. Auburn
8. Tennessee
11. Florida
17. Arkansas
22. Kentucky
29. South Carolina
35. Ole Miss
42. Miss State
45. Mizzou
46. Texas A&M
47. LSU
118. Vanderbilt

I'm skeptical of us at #8, but I'm even more skeptical of Auburn at #6. And LOL at Vanderbilt.

Tennessee is a top 10 team, GAs defense is just that good. we have the 2nd best defense in conference. O line SHOULD dominate the rest of the schedule

Well, if we are the second best defense in the SEC then the rest must not be sending anyone out to play the position. All a team has to do to move the ball on us is throw it over the middle. It seems that most of the time our guys don't know what to do and if they do know, they are out of position or to slow to do anything about it.

AUBby is overrated. I don't watch that many games and they aren't the 6th best team I have watched. Arkansas is also overrated here. A&M is way underrated. They are a top20 team for sure.

I'm surprised Auburn is 6. And I would Ole Miss ahead of SCAR, Mizzou ahead of MissSt. And what's up with aTm way down at 46? They should be Top 10

I do see improvement in our defense especially run defense but I respectfully disagree.

Pass rush could be better and we are very inept in covering middle routes, especially slant routes. We have to be able to play physical man defense Pruitt/Ansley's type of scheme and while it is somewhat improved, it has to be much much better if we are to be considered a top 10 team/2nd best D in the conference.

We got to fix middle of field issues our star guy has been lit up all year and line backers struggle in space still.

I'd rate Ole Miss behind Ala and Georgia rite now. Wouldn't Pruitt and Kiffen make a great team.

This. Banks and Crouch desperately need to improve in coverage. They were both running backs in high school and our other linebackers are mainly freshmen with practically no in-game experience. Today's scrimmage, if it still happens, will be their first scrimmage even. Covid man, a nightmare for developing the young ones.

Nobody in the SEC outside of Georgia is playing defense though. Who would you rate above us? Arky?

I think they can beat everyone else but Bama. UF is a tossup since they're defense is terrible

They were better yesterday than they were against Mizzou and SC but I agree there were some glaring failures.

our defense will be more than good enough to slow bama down. thats how i see it.
We will see. The secondary has been very inconsistent and idk if it's due to the loss of Nigel and just now getting everyone back to practice together
