Heupel didn’t really open up the playbook against Ball St.

A lot of these plays were simple bubble screens, run up the middle, and a few slant routes.

Let’s face it, there’s not much else we could have shown considering the game was pretty much over before halftime.

I expect our play book to open up more against Pitt.

I agree with your statement about Heupel. I never believe the thought process of a coach NOT showing all their cards. I think he likely had a simple game plan, he knew simple would get the job done with ease.
The defense/secondary left me concerned but then again, not sure last night could have given a complete picture of what we have. I am one of those who thinks your most drastic improvement happens after 1,2 and 3 games.
What I do no for a fact, little Squirrel White is a scrapper. Goodness, much like a squirrel, that little dude is hard to get off your backside. I look forward to the day he thickens up some.

I suspect Pitt has a pretty good read on Heupel's system anyway. Not sure he adds too much new to what he has done for a while. He is very adapt at analyzing defenses and play calling to get guys open against defenses with his base system. Just think opponents know his options but trying to stop him takes some super talent, like Bama and UGA has..
