The Vols week 1 opponent kicked off their season last night with a win against Anderson 20-3.

That’s correct. Anderson is entering their 3rd year of playing football. They do have a good coach and have invested well in football among other sports. But the SAC is one of the better DII football conferences with LR and Wingate being pretty consistent top 25 teams the last several years and now Carson-Newman back on the rise it’s an uphill climb.

I attended that an Appalachian State game with my dad. It was wild walking out of there because everyone knew that we were gonna have a long season and potentially some long years after watching that game. Everybody just felt it. My therapist says not to talk about it, but it’s been a long time so thought I’d throw that out there.
