Seriously? You're comparing a football team in college with a group of folks who have been convicted of a crime? You're comparing teaching football technique, scheme and football philosophy to getting a degree?

The previous coach had them at time as well?

Hopefully CJP wi be as wildly successful as the kool aid drinkers think he will be. However the data collected to this point doesn't give a thinking person much hope.
""""The previous coach had them at time as well?""""
Drinking kool aid? I don't know; however, when studying if large changes in groups of men, due to part time instruction ( 9 months) is reasonable, one must include in the study, other attempts, from other coaches- at other schools, over a long period of time. This would result in a large pool of info to study-It is seldom done, it takes longer than 1/3 of a football season to make these changes. And to answer your question, regarding""" teaching football technique, scheme and football philosophy to getting a degree""", the answer is yes. Learning is not confined to classrooms. If result oriented teaching is proven to give faster results (football team), then perhaps those same techniques should be applied to other disciplines. I, on the other hand, believe the data is "in", it takes longer than 9months of part time instruction in order for a coach to 'turn-around' almost every aspect of a team-and the time necessary to earn most degrees is about right.
I hope you have another thought regarding the learning process, and explain the "''The previous coach had them at time as well?"""
