"In 17 years under Fulmer, the #Vols blew a two possession lead 6 times. Butch Jones' #Vols have blown three in four weeks."

Not trying to start another argument about Phil, just a shocking stat on 2015 season

The writing is on the wall. It's obvious that Butch won't get it done here. Hart will probably keep him around next year though at least because of the idiotic contract extension he gave Butch after barely making 6-6 last year. 2016 will be more of the same. Then we hope that Hart doesn't make another cheap, low quality hire to drive us even further into the depths of irrelevance.

Until a UT coah comes along that can actually beat Florida, I think Coach Fulmer is immune from any valid criticism in regard to that. At least he beat Fla. every now and then.

This joke of a coach and the two stooges who preceded him are not even in the same universe as Fulmer as far as what he did for UT.

Go make the fat jokes etc but they ring pretty hollow when this yr's coach can only beat non-con patsy's and cream puff's and lose to every team that has even marginal talent.

Butch can beat the Austin Peay's of the world and that's about it.

Beating the OBC when he has a sub par program and is a bottom feeder himself means absolutely nothing.

I miss the days when 8 to 10 wins a year was considered disappointing.

Fuller made some bad hires, and stood by Randy Sanders too long.

I don't know about Fuller but Fulmer wasn't able to get the student athletes at the end of his tenure as he did in the height of it. All I was thinking was maybe it wasn't that he was lazy or washed up. Maybe it was Richt, Saban, Meyer, Miles, and Spurrier that contributed to his down fall. The days of Zook and other like losers at other schools were over.

We can make fun of Fulmer all we want, but I think he could have done as good or better than the cluster!@#$ we've seen in the Kiffin/Dooley/Jones era.

CPF beat UF...just not alot.

He owned everyone else until about 2005.

Beat Bama 7 straight.

Won a NC.

We would die to repeat his first ten years again.

I've always thought Fulmer out-talented people, but then Butch was hired.

that is what a great coach is suppose to do,people forget about this team being so young,i know a lot of fans don't like to hear that, but it is true,Chief and CPF would have red shirted Tuttle ,McKenzie Barnett and a lot of other starters ,just because they could

when CBJ gets that kind of depth,is when we will be able to rate him as a SEC coach

the SEC is all about experience and depth,we all know this to be true

might I point out one more time, Phil's gone. No need to debate. Pretend I said "in 17 seasons" and left CPF's name off.

Let's please try to focus on bashing Jones/Hart

Well, if Butch is shown the door, I don't see Hart even getting an opportunity to make another hire.

Seem to Remember Kansas State moving on from Schneider and then hiring him back to coach them. They are now looking to transition him out to someone younger! FSU did it the right way and look at them. Have they had a losing season since Bowden retired? Maybe they should have done that instead of what they did.

In hindsight, I have wondered if it was not so much that Fulmer got lazy as it was other programs caught up.

I always believed he got lazy after 2001 as far as recruiting goes. If he would have stayed hungry like he did early in his career, he would probably still be here. That's just my opinion though.
