1) Does Tatum count? Either Tatum or BW
2) West, but only because I think everyone expects Hopson to be good, and Negedu probably won't play a lot.
3) For most around here, JP Prince
4) Maze
5) Maze
6) Chism
7) Tatum
8) hell I don't know, maybe Jurick
9) Smith
10) Smith

Pete Carrol, Bill Cowher, or Jon Gruden!

Just kidding, I love the basketvols. it breaks my heart that what used to be a social gathering at UT, has now outshined the football program. From what I can tell we are pretty stacked and we know that coach will have em' fired up.

3) Childress
4) Tatum
5) West
6) T Smith
7) West
8) ?
9) T Smith

1)..the most improved returning player for the BasketVols? Brian Williams

2)..the most surprising true freshman? Woolridge as the surprise since most are expecting the world from Hopson

3)..the most disappointing returning player? Prince

4)..the starting PG vs UTC in the season opener? Maze

5)..the starting PG at UGA in the SEC opener? Maze

6)..the leading rebounder? Tough one. I'll go Smith.

7)..the leading 3pt % shooter? Tatum I guess. It will not be pretty whoever it is.

8)..a possible transfer at years end? If anyone it will be Tabb.

9)..the most likely player to lead the SEC in either points, rebounds, steals, or assists (per game)? None really. I'll go Maze w/ steals though.

10)..the player that takes the last second 15-20 footer in March?Smith, no question about it.

Hopefully Josh Tabb will contribute more. I think he was officially named most improved in the offseason by Pearl.

1)..the most improved returning player for the BasketVols? Brian Williams

2)..the most surprising true freshman?Wooldridge

3)..the most disappointing returning player? JP Prince for some

4)..the starting PG vs UTC in the season opener? Bobby Maze

5)..the starting PG at UGA in the SEC opener?Daniel West

6)..the leading rebounder? Wayne Chism

7)..the leading 3pt % shooter?Cam Tatum

8)..a possible transfer at years end? A new assistant coach is the only "unexpected change" I see over the whole team. I fully expect Jones to get a head coaching gig before the start of 2009-2010.

9)..the most likely player to lead the SEC in either points, rebounds, steals, or assists (per game)?Tyler Smith

10)..the player that takes the last second 15-20 footer in March?Watch the end of the Ole Miss, Memphis, South Carolina(final 10 minutes), etc. That will tell you all that you need to know.

2. Renaldo Woolridge
3. JP Prince
4. Bobby Maze
5. Bobby Maze
6. Tyler Smith
7. Cameron Tatum
8. None likely
9. Very unlikely UT has anobody lead the SEC in any of those categories. Tyler Smith in points would probably be closest bet, but I dont find it likely. Points will be too distributed for that.
10. Tyler Smith

1)..the most improved returning player for the BasketVols?

Wayne Chism? He's the only one who's numbers even stayed consistant from last year (with nearly equal minutes).

2)..the most surprising true freshman?

Honestly, no one.

3)..the most disappointing returning player?

Tyler Smith. Numbers down across the board, scoring was up but FG % was down 100 points, questionable shot selection throughout the season.

4)..the starting PG vs UTC in the season opener?

Maze, by default.

5)..the starting PG at UGA in the SEC opener?

Maze.

6)..the leading rebounder?

Chism.

7)..the leading 3pt % shooter?

Josh Tabb shot .424 in 33 attempts, Hopson .320 in 128 attempts.

8)..a possible transfer at years end?

Maybe Woolridge?

9)..the most likely player to lead the SEC in either points, rebounds, steals, or assists (per game)?

Chism was 5th in rebounds/game

10)..the player that takes the last second 15-20 footer in March?

The answer is Tyler Smith, but he settled for the 3 when he probably should have taken it inside.

the most bizarre thing about all this is that regardless of how JP plays he will still fit in as the correct #3 answer on this board

1)..the most improved returning player for the BasketVols? Brian Williams Missed it

2)..the most surprising true freshman?Wooldridge Missed it

3)..the most disappointing returning player? JP Prince for some I don't think he was disappointing it's just that some people actually thought he'd be an all star, I never did.

4)..the starting PG vs UTC in the season opener? Bobby Maze
Correct.
5)..the starting PG at UGA in the SEC opener?Daniel West
See 1 and 2.
6)..the leading rebounder? Wayne ChismCorrect

7)..the leading 3pt % shooter?Cam Tatum Can we just count the Georgetown game? Seriously though, now that he'll have a full offseason of 100% health he'll fill this role next season.

8)..a possible transfer at years end? A new assistant coach is the only "unexpected change" I see over the whole team. I fully expect Jones to get a head coaching gig before the start of 2009-2010.
Well, Jones hurt me there.
9)..the most likely player to lead the SEC in either points, rebounds, steals, or assists (per game)?Tyler Smith
Smith did have a triple double

10)..the player that takes the last second 15-20 footer in March?Watch the end of the Ole Miss, Memphis, South Carolina(final 10 minutes), etc. That will tell you all that you need to know.
I was right, unfortunately it didn't work out much of the time.
