A new DC is fine, but we were going to be pretty good on defense this year anyway. We were 28th in defense and have 9 starters returning.

We were good enough on defense to win 3 more games this past year vs Kentucky, Georgia, and USCe. The offense couldn't score.

For Dooley to save his job, the offense must improve. We still have CJC, CHH, the same OL, unproven running backs, and lost Arnett and Baggett. The addition of Graham and a healthy Hunter will help, but the running game must improve for us to win 8 or more games even with an easier schedule. The talent is there, but can they coach them up?

if we hadn't lost hunter ibelieve the offense would have totally been different.it completely changed how we ran our offense.hunter and rogers would both had 1000yd season and the running would have been better.1 guy changed alot.

Nope. Stopping the run and limiting explosive plays on offense are still priority numero uno.

Unless the sky falls AGAIN, offense should be anywhere from ok to very ok.

Hunter is not worth 3 games. Arkansas lost knile davis and had their star wr come back off an acl tear and not meet expectations and they are in a bcs bowl.

Lane injury free, Bray with Hunter/Rodgers/Rivera the offense will be good to very good. The o-line WILL be better and hopefully the D will force more turnovers

With Hunter and Bray we win 9 games and maybe 10. I still say we need a good running game for next year and the comment about special teams is a good one as well. We shore those two areas up and we will compete for the east with our schedule. Hopefully Hunter comes back full speed and one of our new receivers steps in to that 3rd spot. Come on September....oh wait I need some good weather for golf first, then football.

I love the seriousness of these threads pointing to the obvious. Yea lack of offense was because of bray and hunter injuries. People act like their looking at team A and seeing the offense stats without knowing te circumstances. The offense doesn't need improvement but rather the injury bug needs to gtfo of Knoxville!!!!

Well, at least you didn't point out the obvious.

Yea. It jus makes you think do people really think our offense was horrific before any circumstance happened? I guess this whole Shannon frenzy has made none read so much useless, non true l, pointless garbage that I'm just tired

Yeah but arky has the depth to get away with it. We'll get there people just need to be patient.

They are also loaded up on juniors and seniors in their two deep. Go away man you are a joke.

I will give you Florida, but if you do not think Hunter would of made a difference in the Georgia and SC game you are crazy. Really if you think about it, it was harder on our offense in the Florida game.

The OL and running game was a disappointment. You can't blame that on losing one WR. Injuries are a part of the game and several teams lost key players. It didn't hurt Arkansas or USCe. If the running game is just as bad and Palardy doesn't improve, you may be disappointed.

I think you can blame the running game woes on hunter because we didn't ever have to rely on the running game. We had to try to run when Rogers was getting doubled up. That's not good to just dish your running game aside when your killing in the pass game but that was the case. As long as we were getting around 80 yards a game rushing, we were still tossing over 320 on the air and we were fine.
