Impressed with Kiffin

So you don't think in any way that Coach Kiffin is trying to take some heat off of Crompton?

Sure he is...

What was he going to say??...That was the worst four drive stretch I've ever seen a QB play in my entire life??...

No, he told the press that he and the coaching staff didn't put JC in good situations, that the line didn't give him enough time things like that...I applaud Kiffin for doing that...Are the fans still very disappointed in Crompton's play??...Sure they are...I'm also sure Kiffin and staff are too...

So far I am very impressed with Kiffin. Our team seems more disciplined then I have seen in times past. Too bad he doesn't have a top noth qb to go with it.

The only wrong thing I have seen so far is him choking on the goal line. But that is inexperince and that will change in time.

How exactly did HE choke on the goal line? THE PLAYERS lined up and got beat. Would you have attempted a pass with the game on the line right then?

Ya know I don't necessarily believe anyone choked. Did we get beat inside the 5 yard line on those plays? yes. The O-line was obviously winded. Could they have been subbed out and the result have been different? Maybe. The run game was definitely our stronger suit in that game and the staff stuck with it. I think that we had the right idea, but next time, how about maybe a toss outside and let the back use his quickness  Just an obversation from this armchair, monday morning quarterback/coach. This staff is still learning how players react in game situations. The first game was nothing but a free run. The second game is where our coaching staff and players actually learned from their mistakes, I believe. I think we will get better every game, no, every PRACTICE because of the great staff we have. Go Vols.
