Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the fans took a stand against what happened yesterday, but the implications of this could be tragic. We may not see a good coach, or AD touch our program for a long time. Too much pressure and we're in too bad of a spot right now. I think we will be feeling the effects of this years from now.

Finally we all came together, except for a few apologists, and stood tall. I don't care. We showed them we are tired of them peddling BS on us

Only reason UT is in the shape it is in is allowing poor leadership to make awful coach hires for years. Continuing to allow that has equally tragic implications. We're dead unless leadership changes, so it really doesn't matter. At least fans were able to have a hand in change.

There is something to be said when the fans, local media, and state representatives are all on the same page. Made me proud to be a Vol fan to stand up for what we believe in.

With that being said, I agree that we may have to be patient to get back to where we want to be.

I’m not saying we should have hired Schiano and I do hope I’m wrong. But I’m afraid yesterday’s and today’s lingering clown show just might have permanently put our program in a state of irrelevancy for good. I do hope that I’m wrong because my Vol heart won’t be able to take it.

Honestly it's going to hurt but we were going to suck with Schiano. AT least we made it clear that we're sick of the BS. Phase II is actually cutting off donations and I hate it but that's the only language that they understand.

All of this rah, rah BS is just that BS! Yep be Proud! You stood up and prevented the big bad man from becoming coach! Guess what? WE probably prevented us from getting any freaking coach! Who in their right mind would step into this toxic nasty environment? No one in their right mind! We just went through three crappy coaches and we will all be wishing that Schiano is our Coach come this time next year! "A" coach is better than "NO" coach! The IDIOT that actually takes this job will amount to "NO" coach! I don't think there is enough money on this planet to get any quality Coach to take this job! So lets all pat ourselves on the back for a job well done! Damn the consequences because we made a stand!!!!

I agree that the fallout from this will kill our football program for the next 3-5 years. However, we haven't been a player in major college football since 2001.

I think now is the perfect time to bring in Lane Kiffin. Saddled with a 10 million dollar buyout. He can lead and can be our James Franklin.

The problem with all of this is that our fans have been on the ledge for years. All the Gruden stuff had us expecting greatness. Schinao is a good coach, we allowed a Washington Post headline to set us off.

I think yesterday had much more to do with the lack of leadership and direction at the University of Tennessee than it did Gregg Schiano.

Are we suppose to expect mediocrity?

Even with this dumpster fire burning in the background Kiffin would happily take the job. He may not be the hire most people would want, but he is one the few people with a name that would happily come into this mess.

Given the position we are in now.. yeah mediocrity will be the high end of what can be expected short term bud. Forget coaches after the past few months how do we get recruits? This environment has become the definition of toxic. We are officially the browns of the SEC now.
