Another little tidbit that many don't know is that those things are sometimes arbitrary as to whether they get 3 or 4* at 5.7 or 5.8. Both recruiting svcs only allow a certain % of 4/5* as a form of quality control.

I don't think that's true. I just think that there's a middle ground that most people fall into, where maybe one or two major programs will make an offer but it's not like you have a bunch of them running after you. I would say that compared to the recruits Tennessee normally gets, he's not really anything special. Better than half but worse than a good many, including the other two QBs we have. As a recruit. But I said I'd stop so I guess I should.

Agreed. I personally don't see how anyone could think Crompton out performed Stephens last year, if they actually watched the games.
