The SEC is a grind, it's a big boy conference, no getting around it. You can hand wring about it or accept it for being it is what it is. It's the cost of playing big boy football. We could have left and been Tulane or Georgia Tech but we didn't, we stayed in the SEC so no need to spend a lot of energy over scheduling in conference is my point of view.
This. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. Hell, we could be like Ohio St. and have a garbage schedule every year despite playing in a weak conference. We all should be thankful that we play in the SEC.
why exactly?
i mean,i get it, i know why...but really, how exactly has this not worked out for Ohio St and Urban Meyer?
why on Earth would they not be thankful for their conference? it sure hasn't hurt them.

Tennessee is fortunate to get Bama at home. But Bama's stretch heading into the TSIO is much softer than it was in 2015, and is much easier than Tennessee's.
Bamas game at Ark week before us is no picnic. If I had to pick a road game from the west for them the week before our game, I'd pick ark. Tough travel, tough environment and physical football team.
Your are correct here. I like playing and beating the best. However, I believe it is instructive to view the final rankings of Iowa and Northwestern last season. Neither had a tough schedule and lower ranked UT literally demolished both. Yet, both ended up in the top 10 before the bowls.
I still believe playing in the SEC is where I want to be.
