It's FOOTBALL!

Shut up about a stupid storm and just play the damn game.

I swear to God, I hope the Bears destroy the Saints. If they don't, I wont be able to watch the Super Bowl.

I feel bad for all those people, but I'm tired hearing about it.

It's been OVER a year and a half.

MOVE ON!

Good grief. It's a small inconvenience in your life to hear an announcer mention the hardships of those in the gulf. I'll bet Katrina was slightly more devastating than Joe Buck. I'm sure those that were displaced would be glad to move on. Instead a good portion of them are stuck in Houston and elsewhere. If the Colts don't make it, I'll be pulling for the Saints all the way.

It's not so much that they keep harping on it and how it allegedly affected the millionaires that play for the Saints, but the fact they keep saying everyone is pulling for them. Agh.

As for your guess that the displaced would like to move on? Bull. They are the ones that keep standing out in the streets crying and cussing people that don't have anything to do with the fact they were too stubborn to leave thier own houses.

Remember Hurricane Hugo? Where were all the white people over in the Carolina's wailing for a year and a half on end? Oh, that's right, there weren't any.

Sometimes, other people don't OWE you anything, regardless what Natural Disaster you've been through.

One more thing.....

If the people affected by Katrina were all that AFFECTED, they wouldn't be selling out the Super Dome to watch football. They'd be rebuilding thier houses or moving.

The reason people were able to sell out the Superdome this year was because the "affected" have sucked large amounts of money from fellow americans and the federal government.

There are of course people that have it bad, and that sucks, but the fact the Saints want to make some sort of capital off of it, make me want to pull AGAINST them more than ever.

Orange Square, you better hope the Saints don't win the Super Bowl or you may even have to endure a possible move on the feel good story. I could honestly see a movie, possibly good or bad, develop out of this on the Saints improbable run. If they had one for Marshall, they can do one for New Orleans.

New Orleans is a cess pool. I have an aunt and uncle living in Baton Rouge, I can promise you I am not ignorant on the subject.

I guess there aren't any black people in the Carolinas, or whites in New Orleans. Give me a break. No one owes anyone anything. I think it's nice to help out the unfortunate folks in the gulf that lost their homes. Regardless, the freaking Saints were a good story this year. They are one of the most dramatic turnarounds in NFL history and that just happened to coincide with a catastrophic event. What's the problem with letting them enjoy that?

Why can't they enjoy the turnaround without whining about the storm?

What's wrong with letting me enjoy their turnaround as a sports fan without being subjected to a weather story a year and a half old?

Ah bull. I have just as much right to talk about this as anyone else. Like I said, I have family in the gulf. I was down there right after it happened. I drove from Florida through Mississippi and Louisiana to watch the Vols play in Baton Rouge.

If they can run it down my throat when I'm trying to watch a football game, I think I have the right to give my opinon on that.

That being said, I certainly give those that don't want to discuss it all the liberty in the world. The title of my thread made it obvious what I was talking about, if people couldn't handle discussing it, they could have stayed out of the thread.

I mean no one any personal disrespect, but I wanted to post my thoughts on it, and I have. I know I feel better.

To be honest, it won't cross my mind again.

Know why, because I wont use every single post attacking New Orleans and the criminoles that live there. I won't make it my daily agenda to post multiple threads all over the board about how criminoles like the ones ruling New Orleans deserve to be rounded up and put into prisons.

I'm pretty sure the board, you and even la.lovesorange will all survive this thread and anything I have said in it.

If you want to hold a grudge because I'm stout enough to voice my opinion and stand behind it, that's your own decision.

No, that's cool. Thanks. I should be allowed to voice my displeasure with the situation without people hating me for it, or putting me into any hole. Like I said above, I won't harp on this issue after this thread. I only brought it up because it fit into part of this game's storyline.
