I'm more confident about beating Bama than I was Texas A&M..

I'm not guaranteeing a win but I would not be surprised if we squeak out a win against the #1 team in the country in front of over 100,000 screaming Vol fans. No need to feel scared, it's time to kick some Roll Tide a$$!

AGREE! I posted before the season the Texas A&M game was our trap game because of where it was on the schedule. I think we beat Bama this week and run the table. I would love to rematch with A&M in Atlanta in December!

I feel it as well. I've had Alabama fans telling me they are concerned about what Tennessee can do. They know this isn't like the last decade. Tennessee will make them fight.

alaBubba definately IS beatable, all teams are.

We just lost a tough game to the 8th ranked team in the country on their field BUT even the AP voters did NOT drop our 9th place ranking and that says boatloads.

Without the turnovers we WOULD have totally dominated aTm and everyone knows that including all of us, our players and all our coaches.

We should be a top 5 ranked team right now and our players know that too.

We have injuries but most every team does and we should get some guys back.

The really good things are that our backups, and even some freshmen, have gotten lots of reps, real game knowledge and experience so they're more ready than ever AND our backups have played pretty damn well except for a few mistakes that are correctable.

We all should be more confident than anytime in 10 years.

Last season on their field we almost beat alaBummer and we're better this season.

Now they come to our house, they're forced to face our great, VERY loud fans and our fans CAN make a huge difference to a freshman QB and rattle him many times.

Our coaches Believe, our players Believe and I damn sure do BELIEVE too and all of you should too.

NOW is the time to start our own WIN streak against alaBubba so get proud and be very LOUD and lets roll the tide right out of Neyland crying in their defeat!

WIN by WIN we'll earn our respect and climb the rankings...VFL...GBO!!!

My thoughts about this game come down to a comparison of last year to this year:

1. Tuscaloosa vs Knoxville
2. Bama has a freshman QB
3. We can pass the ball now
4. Our DL is improved
5. Our OL is no worse at this point
6. Derrick Henry is in the NFL

Do our injuries to Cam and JRM, and dismissal of DOB counter the positives? Not sure. Right now, I don't think so. I weigh our DB and LB injuries against a a freshman QB and no Henry, call that a wash. The rest of the factors I think weigh in our favor.

If we clean up our fundamentals over last week, I think we get the win.

Exactly. I would like to know what anyone has seen that makes them believe we are the better team. With our current injuries, I cannot see us beating the team with arguably the best depth in the country.

I also fear that the game may get out of hand quickly. People like to talk about last years game but we had a pretty healthy team for that game.

Man injuries. And turnovers. Cost us a win. Praying we get healthy this week and we just stop the turnovers. Worst I've ever seen. But I'm afraid injuries ar going to be insurmountable this week. Will be hard to win vs. Bama

Jalen Hurts has been playing much better than just your average FR QB. The guy has very good mobility, a cannon for an arm and all world talent all around him. Not having one of the best LBs and CBs in the SEC is huge. We also have to look at special teams. Sutton was one of the best punt returners in the country. Kamara is very good as well, but he is also a srud RB. I dont want him getting hurt on a PR. People are kicking away from Berry, one of our best weapons. Somwe have not been able to flip field position as much as last year.

Yes Bama is beatable and I hope we stomp a big orange hole in them. But thats easier said than done.

I think UT should add another Jumbo screen, and add more seats aTm has like 106k or something like that we need louder. We def need to break the decible record on Saturday.
