I'm Doing It!

Seriously- I can probably only afford 2 games. What should I get first. *note* NCAA 08 is one of them:rock:

I love a good rpg, fighter, or 1st person shooter.

Gears of War hands down and if you can fork over $20 more get Halo 2

I'm actually going to pick up a 360 tomorrow as well. Been thinking about it for a long time, and the bills and work hours and other responsibilities finally fell together to where i can just go buy the damn things without skimping somewhere else

Heck yeah, brother. Seriously, good job to put it off until it was a better move financially. You don't see that much nowdays.

The multiplayer terrorist hunt are a lot of fun, and you can also play the entire story mode in multiplayer.

That's not entirey true. The coop story mode in multiplayer is quite stripped down from the single player.

That is true but it's still fun though if you have a few hours to sit down and play with some friends.

I'd say at least wait until November (when Socom is targeted to come out) or when the actual pricedrop happens this year.
... It already happened.

That 120gb hard drive is $179 on its own.
:yikes: HOW MUCH?! That is the biggest rip-off I've ever heard of! I think Smokey mentioned it. It'd be way more affordable to sync your memory to your computer. You can buy a 500GB external hard drive at that price.

Sort of. They cut the price of the now discontinued 60g version to clear the shelves. Once they are gone, the only option is the $599 80g version that uses software emulation instead of the PS2 chipset.

Admittedly, there's probably a good amount of stock to be cleared out. ;)

It's a lot better that way. I got over 3000 songs, over200 vids (tv, movies, music videos, cartoons), and pictures all on a 230 gb external HD that I network through my pc to the 360.

Why not go for one then? $499 is a decent price, costs the same as the lowest price Blu Ray player you can find, and you know Sony's library will get there. 60G is enough memory, and the backwards compatibility with PS2 is still a big deal IMO, the PS2 library is so huge you can always go back and catch up on games you may have missed.

Good choice. IMO Oblivion is still the best game on XBox 360.
