I have been reading threads related to the game on Saturday. I have seen where alleged Tennessee fans are hoping we lose so that a coaching change will be made. You are not a Tennessee fan, you do not bleed orange. In fact, you don't deserve to be a Tennessee fan.

If you are rooting against Tennessee and call yourself a UT fan, just quit rooting for them. Change your team, be a Florida fan or jump on the bandwagon of whoever is winning until that program starts losing and find another. Just think, you will always be rooting for a winning team and wouldn't that be just great...at least you won't be a sorry representative of my beloved Tennessee Vols.

And don't tell me to mind my own business or that you can do whatever you want, I don't want to hear it....

Bottom line, either support the team fully or not. If not, then you are no better than the classless Georgia or Florida fans that I absolutely hate.

Best post ever. Some of the things I have been reading makes me so angry. I would never, and will never pull against my team just to see a change. I may not agree with everything, but that does not mean I will still not pull for the vols. Fans like that can move to Antartica for all I care.

how does a junior member get to be a radio talk show host anyway?! :p

Seriously, though, I agree with your sentiment...there is no excuse for a true fan to EVER root for his team to lose. That said, as a small suggestion, bear in mind that all fan bases are a motley crue. It's really never one big happy family...there's good & bad in the mix & no amount of anger can change that. Be happy as the Vol fan you are, and don't take others' outlooks so personally. In other words, "Fight the battles you can...." well, you know the story.

But hey, kudos to you for screaming something many of us are feeling!

larkin, i know that i've seen not even a handfull actually rooting for a loss, but i'm going to assume you are only calling those out. I for one, and I know most of the anti-Fulmer group never pulls for UT to lose, but that doesn't change our opinion of wanting a new coach. Are you calling us out too?

Not to speak for someone else, but I think he's just pissed at people posting they hope the Volunteers lose in order to insure the head coaching position is changed. Not those that want a change at the end of the day.

i assume that as well. But i've only seen maybe 5 posts actually stating they want us to lose. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough though.

I want Fulmer out, and I know losing to Georgia will help that, but if we lose I may still get in my bathtub and lie in the fetal position.

Frankly I dont care who is coaching as long as we win... If fulmer can win this game and the games followin he has all the right to stay in... And people who call for tennessees loss have already given up this season and wants us to lose bad so that they can axe fulmer...

I believe if you go back through the old threads from the past week or so, you'll find one or two asking the exact question "should we hope the Vols lose so we can get a new coach"?

It is football season people. Every one and any one comes out of the wood work to post crazy stuff.

The best thing to do is to post crazy stuff and act like you are going along with every thing.

yeah.. i've seen those, I didn't pay them enough attention because they're stupid, but I thought most people were blowing it off. I might go revisit. If a substantial number are rooting for a loss, that's sickening

I know I posted to get rid of Fulmer a couple a dozen times after the Florida lost, but that was just venting for letting the Gator's destroy us.I sure as hell don't want us to lose.

I would almost be certain that most of the posts are of the sarcastic nature poking fun at the few who actually want the team to lose.

You would be correct but it is sorta disgusting that somebody would advance such an idea... :p

No one needs to root for a Georgia loss. We'll still likely lose three of South Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama, and Kentucky.
